This diverse program brings together standout short films from the 2025 San Francisco Dance Film Festival, offering a dynamic snapshot of the creativity, craft, and global perspectives that defined the year. Spanning playful surrealism, intimate portraits, and urgent social inquiry, the program moves from the mythic landscapes of French Polynesia to the backstreets of Sevilla, from hand-drawn animation inspired by scientific innovation to raw explorations of family and identity. Highlights include multiple SFDFF 2025 award winners, alongside bold experiments that pair dance with robotics, poetry, and cultural ritual. Together, these works showcase dance film as a powerful storytelling medium-one that bridges tradition and technology, personal reflection and collective memory.
